      Development of nitride supported catalysts for the hydrogenation and reductive amination of bio-sourced acids

      The objective of this project is the development of supported metal nitrides as promising non precious alternative to conventional noble metals for reactions of particular interest like hydrogenolysis and reductive amination of bio-derived carboxylic acids to the corresponding diols or pyrrolidone derivatives, respectively.

      Profile

      The candidate must have a PhD in heterogeneous catalysis or materials science. If the candidate has skills in DFT calculations, it might be possible to extend the contract for another 18 months (with Dr. C. Michel, ENS Lyon).
