On the cover of Nanomaterials, luminescent gold

The development of new, more efficient and environmentally friendly luminescent materials is booming.
A new coordination polymer based on Au (+ I) and thiolate ligands has been obtained and has an intense yellow emission. Its insertion into organic polymers has made it possible to form transparent, flexible and luminescent films with a modulation of the emission color from blue to yellow.
This work, led by A. Demessence, is the result of collaboration between IRCELYON, ILM and LMI labs in Lyon, ILV in Versailles, the synchrotron Soleil and university of Amsterdam. This work is on the cover of Nanomaterials, an open access journal.
