Gold-nano 2026 thematic school
GDR Or-nano (Research Group)is organising its thematic school from 13 to 17 April 2026 in Cargèse, Corsica. This school is one of the highlights celebrating Or-nano’s 20th anniversary in 2026!
Interdisciplinaire, l’école réunira environ 70 chercheurs, doctorants et experts autour d’un programme consacré aux nanoparticules d’or (NP d’or), à l’interface de la physique, de la chimie et de la biologie.
The programme will include basic courses, specialised courses and practical workshops.
It will be structured around the following six modules:
– Plasmonics and hot carrier generation
– Synthesis and materials
– Chirality of plasmonic structures
– Theoretical modelling: from quantum approaches to artificial intelligence
– Targeted nanomedicine: methods for in vitro and in vivo monitoring of gold NPs
– Societal impacts and prospects of gold nanoparticles
24 speakers and experts will deliver lectures and lead workshops.

The school will include a ‘writing workshop’ to explore, through science fiction, the place our research may occupy in tomorrow’s society.
