alyMy research work in solid state electrochemistry and heterogeneous catalysis by oxides were achieved in three academic laboratories (IRCELYON, EPFL and LEPMI). At IRCELYON, they have been focusing on selective oxidation of light alkanes and dehydration of bio-sourced molecules by oxides catalysts. Through a rational approach including preparation of catalysts, their catalytic evaluation and their characterization by in situ and operando techniques, I have identified active and selective sites of new catalysts efficient for these kinds of reaction. Furthermore, I have developped Raman spectroscopy for heterogeneous catalysis in particular for the rational preparation of solid catalysts and for characterization of active sites and adsorbed intermediates. I supervized the Raman service at IRCELYON and the research team entitled 'Energies, fuels and chemicas for sustainability' (ECI2D). I am currently research director DR2 in the CATREN team.
