MOFs at the heart of Franco-Japanese collaboration
Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have been in the spotlight since the 2025 Nobel Prize in Chemistry was awarded to Susumu Kitagawa, Richard Robson and Omar Yaghi.
Several of our researchers have also been working on these MOFs, or ‘Lego bricks’, for many years, notably in collaboration with Susumu Kitagawa’s team in Japan. This collaboration has given rise to an international research project Smolab in 2018. In May 2022, we highlighted this project and its presentation video. Read the article here.
David Farrusseng (ING team), Aude Demessence (C’DURABLE team) and Mickaële Bonneau (postdoctoral researcher in the ING team) answer questions from CNRS Chimie in an interview that you can find here.
Soon, videos of David Farrusseng, Aude Demessence and Mathieu Prévot (CATREN team) on this subject will also be available on our website and our Youtube Channel.
