Green Chemistry 2020 Emerging Investigators

Jérôme Canivet, of the ING team, was recently invited to contribute to the collection “2020 Green Chemistry Emerging Investigators” set up by Green Chem. journal of the Royal Society of Chemistry as an emerging researcher making a significant contribution to the field of green chemistry. His contribution includes part of the thesis work of his doctoral student Yorck Mohr, carried out during the HCCAT European project (h-ccat.eu) which describes the discovery of a new nickel-based catalytic system for direct functionalization by C-H activation of heteroaromatic compounds such as benzothiophene. This work represents a new stage for a sustainable synthesis of bioactive molecules with high added value.
