Portrait of Catherine Pinel at the “Plurielles” exhibition

The Plurielles exhibition “Les femmes font Villeurbanne” highlights the place of women in the city until 30 September 2024. Through various portraits of women by artist Céleste Gangolphe, the exhibition invites visitors to reflect on the role of women in our society and to raise awareness of persistent stereotypes. Catherine Pinel, director of the Ircelyon laboratory and a chemist, took part in this exercise on the subject of women and science.
To mark the occasion, the newspaper Le Progrès interviewed Catherine Pinel in an article entitled « Femme et scientifique, il faut un caractère bien trempé » (03/14/2024).
