Easvolee: launch of measurement campaigns

Watch the first moments of the launch of the pollutant measurement campaigns in real traffic conditions (ISC*, and RDE** cycle) in the video below.
These campaigns are part of the EASVOLEE European project, bringing together 8 partners from 7 countries and led by IDRYMA TECHNOLOGIAS KAI EREVNAS (FORTH) in Greece. The measures are implemented at CRMT (Centre de Recherches en Machines Thermiques) in France. They are carried out while the vehicle is travelling a 3-hour circuit in and around the city. 3 types of cycle are studied: urban, road and motorway. The vehicles (lorries, buses, tractors, etc.) are fitted with state-of-the-art measuring instruments for gases and particles. The first vehicle studied is a diesel truck. The video shows how the instruments are set up on board, with their sampling line. The instruments are operated from the passenger seats at the front of the vehicle.
The results of these measurements will tell us more about the effects of semi-volatile engine emissions on air quality. Study to follow…
*ISC = In Service Conformity
**RDE = Real Driving Emission
