Discover our retrospective and relive the highlights of 2025:
- 2025 Nobel Prize in Chemistry: Our researchers contributed to the Nobel Prize-winning work in Chemistry, awarded to Professors Kitagawa, Yaghi, and Robson for their research on metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). A point of pride for the entire institute!
- Visit from an Ambassador of Chemical Sciences in France: We had the honor of hosting Prof. Fabio H. Ribeiro, a distinguished professor of chemical engineering at Purdue University. During his tour of France, he gave a lecture at Ircelyon and granted us an interview.
- LUMA IRCATECH Platform: You were able to discover in a video the new Operando component of the PEPR LUMA research program within our IRCATECH characterization platform.
- VALOTHERBIO 2025: Ircelyon co-organized the 2nd edition of this thematic school dedicated to the thermochemical valorization of biomass and waste.
- FCCAT and JNSPE 2025: Ircelyon co-organized the French Conference on Catalysis 2025 as well as the National Days of PhotoEmission Spectroscopies 2025.
- IRCELYON Scientific Day 2025: This was a moment of sharing and celebration of the work of our PhD students and invited researchers.
- 3 new recruits: We welcomed Dr. Ibrahim Khalil (CATREN team), Prof. Sébastien Leveneur (ATARI team), and Léa Vilcocq (CARE team).
- Societal Engagement: The institute participated in 2025 in the CNRS “Échappées inattendues” events to raise public awareness (with the lectures “Microscopic Exploration of Clouds“, “Biomass: An Alternative to Oil?” and “In Search of Green Hydrogen“).
Ircelyon also committed in 2025 to a Pro Vélo certification process to promote soft mobility.
